The Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) and the Illinois Arts Council (IAC) have teamed up together to give over $625, 000 in grants to 26 Illinois school districts to improve art and foreign language programs. The money will be divided and distributed based on "the size of district, the scope of the program, and the level of planning required." The individual amounts of grant money span from $9, 000 to $40, 000 per district.
